Exploring Child Pedagogy through Online Game Therapy (2004)
Master's Thesis Project | Savannah College of Art and Design
In my 2004 master's thesis, Exploring Child Pedagogy through Online Game Therapy, I explored how interactive media, interface design, and visual feedback could shape children's engagement with digital environments. By developing an educational game called Puppy and observing its use with children ages 4–6 with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), I became increasingly interested in how design decisions shape usability, participation, and human interaction.
Germantown Help Usability Report (2009)
Graduate Research Project | University of Baltimore
We took a close look at the new volunteer website for Germantown Help, a local nonprofit. Four volunteers tried out nine different tasks, which helped us spot some tricky parts, especially when working with spreadsheets and moving between different tools. Based on what we learned, we shared ideas to make the site easier to use, help people find what they need, and make everything work together more smoothly.
Extendable Selfie Stick Redesign (2014)
User Experience Engineering Coursework | Harvard Extension School
For this project, I focused on making the extendable selfie stick easier and more enjoyable to use. I focused on keeping the device steady, simplifying the remote control, and enabling easy adjustments. We organized our improvement ideas into a clear roadmap, keeping real users' needs in mind.
